I filed 4/15. Looking to ensure the direct debit from my bank account went through. I do not see a debit on my account so I am worried I will have to pay a penalty

Wait 2-3 business days and check again.  It may take a few days before it is posted to your bank account.  If you have the submission page from TurboTax (get it after you eFile by printing a copy of your return), that is evidence that you have filed on time and submitted payment.  The payment info (your bank account) should be shown on page 3 of Form 1040.  Verify there that it is correct.
