I entered misc income from a fellowship stipend. During review it said that income info was missing, so I entered it again. Now it's doubled and I can't seem to change it

It referred specifically to the job name I'd given the income source but the box on the form was blank. When i go back to that misc income under "income & expenses" the correct (non doubled) amount is showing. I can't find any place that shows where I can delete a double entry. But my taxes owed amount certainly reflects that amount.

To enter your  stipend  in TurboTax  follow these steps

With TurboTax open select  Wages & Income click on I'll choose what I work on

Scroll down to Less Common Income and select Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C

On the next page select Other reportable income

On the page Other Taxable Income enter  stipend in the description

This will put the income on Schedule 1 Line 21 of your 1040, as required by the IRS.  You will pay state and federal income tax on the amount, but it will not be subject to self-employment tax.
