I downloaded the 2017 program to my computer. How do I start my 2017 taxes. Double clicking the EXE did not work.

You cannot use an online version of TT to prepare a previous year's return. See this: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4512717-how-can-i-file-my-2017-taxes
