I didn't realize I could claim head of household last year because his other parent claimed my son. I meet the requirements, how do I claim him from last year?

Since I didn't claim head of household last year and should have gotten money, what do I do to claim it?

You could Amend your 2022 return to change your filing status to Head of Household.

To be eligible for Head of Household, you must be unmarried, pay over half the cost of maintaining a household, and have a Qualifying Dependent.
