It depends. It's important for you to keep track of all of your income from your DoorDash business or any self employment business, as well as any expenses you have in connection with a business that allows you to earn the income.
Income on a 1099-NEC (replacing the 1099-MISC for most "gig economy" income) usually goes on Schedule C; you would deduct your business expenses on that form. However, that may require you to use a different edition of TurboTax.
The IRS understands, if you are spending money you are likely making money because you would not continue to spend money when you keep losing money.
