I created an EIN on 01/12/21 and used it for 2020 W2. SSA and State WR30 got accepted for this. However, when my employee's e-file was rejected with FW2-505-01 error.

Is it allowed to use EIN created in 2021 for 2020 tax return? If not, how can my employee file the returns?
