Turbotax will not release his user ID and password. so the only place to get it is from the iRS.

As an estate administrator, executor, or personal representative of a deceased person, you can request information from the IRS regarding their tax matters. Here’s how to proceed:

  1. Tax Return:

    • To obtain a copy of the deceased person’s tax return, submit Form 4506, which is the Request for Copy of Tax Return. Keep in mind that there is a $30 fee for each return you request. You may also have to submit form 56 with the request https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f56.pdf
  2. Tax Transcript:

    • You can also request a tax transcript, which shows most of the line entries from the original tax return. It may include income information from Forms W-2, 1099, or 1098. If you request a transcript online, it will be mailed to the deceased person’s address of record.
    • To have the transcript mailed to you, submit Form 4506-T, the Request for Transcript of Tax Return. Refer to the form instructions for details on where to send your request.

if you can't get it, you'll have to file by mail.
