I am self-employed and have some questions about quarterly taxes. Can my husband have extra taxes taken out so I don't have to file quarterly taxes?

I was wondering if my husband had more taxes taken out if I could skip having to send in quarterly taxes. Just have those taxes taken out through his paycheck. I'm self employed and just thought it might be easier to way.

My second question is do I still have to send in anything for quarterly taxes if I didn't make any income that quarter? It's a new business and I have no idea how much I'm going to make. I know it'll probably be hit or miss with the income while I'm getting established.

Your husband may have as much withheld from his paycheck as he likes.  As long as you file MFJ, that can protect you from having to make quarterly payments in future years.  I'm not sure about the current year.
