I am divorced. If my former spouse claimed the children when they actually lived with me. What can I do?

You can file your return, including the children.  You will have to print it and mail it in since the children's SSNs will be on your former spouse's return.

When the IRS receives you return, they will contact each of you for more information and they will decide who has the right to claim the children.
