I am adding my 20 yr old son as my dependent. "Paid for more than half of their living expenses.. Is that referring to me (parent) or my son?

it's the section that asks to select all that apply to him, BUT that statement isn't clear to me: Is it asking if I paid or if he paid?

It's asking if he paid more than 50% of his own expenses.
