I am a non-resident alien who worked in US until Jun 2022 after which I moved to India. I had some shares from my company when I was working until 2022 which I still possess (as of 2024). Do I need to file the taxes for 2023?

If you still possess the shares and haven't sold them, you do not have a US reporting requirement since you are a non-resident alien.
