Smart check for Federal is getting "Hyrdied is marked as estimated. Enter the correct number, then select Unmark Estimated from the Edit menu."
This is happening on both 1099-Rs in my return. I have hand-checked every visible field in both forms; none are marked as estimated. No fields are showing in red. This happens whether I import the forms or hand-enter them. If I delete these forms, the problem goes away.
Product is Turbotax Deluxe 2021, desktop edition.

After much gnashing of teeth, I found a work-around. In forms view, I went to the 1040/1040SR Wks and found the entry for IRA distributions. I clicked on the hourglass next to it to bring up a list of 1099-Rs in the return. I told it to create a new 1099-R, and hand-entered all of the information. Then I deleted the old 1099-R that was created by the interview. I repeated this process for the other 1099-R that had this error. Hey presto: no more error.

I had this same error message. I had marked an entry as 'estimated', and was unable to get back to the right place to remove the 'estimated mark. The specific information was the year of death ('yrdied' in the error message) for a 1099-R that was inherited from them after their death.
The error message leads you back to the form. But, the problem is not on the form itself, the problem is with something entered in the Q&A.
To fix this, I was able to back through the Q&A, leaving almost everything unchanged. When I got to the screen with the year of death, I was able to right-click and select '
To get there, User the tabs along the top, under the blue TurboTax banner, and select 'PERSONAL', then down one, select 'Personal Income'. In the list of sections, find 'IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)', and select the gray 'Update' button to the right. Select the blue 'Edit' button for the 1099-R that you need to fix (do this for each one that needs to be fixed.)
page through the Q&A pages, selecting the blue 'Continue' button on the bottom right.
In my case, the problem was on the third screen - the entry for 'Year The Person Passed Away'. I checked the number was correct, then right clicked and selected 'Unmark Estimated' (seems F8 can also be used).
Then, select the blue 'Continue' button another five times to get to the end of this section. (Note that some of these screens do not remember your prior entry. You may need to select one of the options on each screen.)
{It seems there is a generic TurboTax bug that leaves the final check confused as to where to guide you back to fix entries from the Q&A that do not appear on a form. }
Good luck.
Why doesn't TurboTax show the "estimated" value in italics like it does everywhere else? This was very time consuming to figure out and correct. Intuit needs to do a better job of fixing this issue.
"Hyrdied marked as estimated" is a poor notation for YEAR DIED if it is marked as estimated. This comes up on inherited IRAs. I wish I had the many hours back that it took me and the TurboTax support people to figure this out!
