Husband full time student without an income, can I claim as dependent? If so would I file differently than married filing jointly?

Husband full time student without an income, can I claim as dependent? If so would I file differently than married filing jointly?

You can never claim your spouse as a dependent. When you file as married filing jointly you will automatically get a personal exemption for him. The personal exemption has the same tax benefit as claiming a dependent.
