HSA Employee Contribution vs Employer Contribution

I have submitted my tax return using Turbo Tax. I have one question.

I see the $ amount under Box 12 code W – Employer contributions to Health Saving Account. It does not show the amount that I contributed to the HSA account. Do I need to add my contributed amount to Form 8889 and resubmit the amended tax return?

HSA Employee Contribution vs Employer Contribution

The amount you contributed to your HSA through payroll deductions is already included in box 12 of your W-2, code W.

If you contributed directly an additional amount by paying into the HSA, then you have to report that amount separately and get a tax deduction. Only in this case, will you need to amend your tax return.
