I just tried this and there was no form in the location mentioned.....WHERE CAN WE FIND THE 5329 FORM?!?!??!!
Form 5329-T refers to Federal form 5329 for the Taxpayer.
Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
Across the top of the screen, click on Other tax situations.
Scroll down to Additional Tax Payments.
Click on Start / Revisit on Extra tax on Extra tax on early retirement withdrawals.
The most common use of form 5329 is to waive exceptions to the 10% penalty for early withdrawal of a pension distribution.
@JamesG1 Thanks for sharing this!
I repeatedly tried to do this but when I click on 'Extra Tax on Early Retirement Withdrawals', the page doesn't go anywhere and just refreshes! The link doesn't work and I am unable to go to fill our form 5329!
Any help would be very much appreciated as this is time sensitive and am trying to finish my taxes due in a few days :-(! Surprised this isnt working on Turbotax! Are there any workarounds and if this doesnt work, can I fill 5329 paper and then attach it to turbotax file when filing etc? What options do I have?
Many thanks for your help!
I know this thread is almost 2 years old, but it's still relevant. I have the same problem with not being able select "Extra tax on early retirement withdrawals." The review insists that I enter a value for form 5329-T, but I want to see more than the isolated box in the review.
IRS Form 5329 can be reported for both the taxpayer and the spouse in a married filing jointly tax return.
In TurboTax Online, view the form at Tax Tools / Print Center / Print, save or preview this year's return / Include government and TurboTax worksheets.
I never received form 5329-T just 1095-C and 5498-SA but it keeps asking for "the value of your hsa on December 31st 2021". Does it mean collectively or the amount sitting there when the year rolled over?
You do not receive the 5329; TurboTax generates it if you owe certain penalties.
The value of your HSA on December 31 is found in box 5 on the 5498-SA.
