How to resolve error code 603? No more than 5 activations have been installed

When opening TT2024 today I was surprisingly presented with an activation screen requesting the activation code. When attempting to enter, received error code 603, “5 activations have already been registered”. I have not exceeded the allotted 5 installs. Appreciate any guidance to resolve the issue.
