    Hello.

    As long as you still financially support your child, you should still claim them as a dependent on your own tax return. You do not include your son's forms on your tax return.

     

    If your teen is required to file a tax return, then they should then file their own tax return, indicating that someone can claim them and include their own forms in their tax return. Even if they are not required to file, they may choose to file in order to claim a refund of any taxes withheld.
