How to erase my w2 and 2020 information and restart my taxes on the app?

You can erase your return and start from scratch as long as you haven't submitted payment or registered. You'll need access to TurboTax Online through a web browser to complete the process. Sign out of the mobile app by going to the menu in the upper left corner and selecting Sign Out.

 

  1. Sign out of the mobile app by going to the menu in the upper left corner and selecting Sign Out.
  2. In your web browser, use your app login to sign in at TurboTax.com and open or continue your return.
  3. Go to the menu on the left side and select Tax Tools, and then select Clear & Start Over.
  4. Answer Yes in the pop-up to confirm.
  5. Select Sign out at the very bottom of the left menu.
  6. Sign back in to the mobile app. You'll have a clean slate.
