My spouse received Short Term Disability pay for maternity leave from absence management company Matrix, however we didn't receive any additional W2 neither from the company or Matrix. Is this common? Also do we need to report the amount we received in checks in TurboTax if so where?

Disability pay may be fully, partially, or not taxed depending on the situation. If you paid the premiums in full, it is not taxable. If you and your employer each paid part of the premium, then the portion related to what the employer paid in insurance premiums is taxable. If the employer paid all of the disability premiums, then all of the income is taxable to you.
If any of the disability is taxable, it can be entered as other income.
