How should I ask for an extension

I keep getting rejected over and over again I need time to fix it

You can't get an extension after the filing deadline.

If you believe your return is correct, you need to print, sign, and mail it.  If there is a conflict between your return and the IRS database, but you believe the return is correct, you won't be able to fix the e-file problem.  Keep proof of the original rejection to show the IRS (if needed) that you did try to file on time.
