How long after direct deposit is rejected does its take to mail a check

If a direct deposit is rejected it is sent back to the IRS and they will mail you a check. IRS asks for tax payers to allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. It may not take that long but they ask to wait that amount of time before contacting them about not receiving it.
