How do i NOT file my state taxes and chose only to federal only

If you have completed your state return in TurboTax but don't want to e-file it for some reason, when you get to the electronic filing section, click on the Federal option for e-file and leave the state e-file option blank. You can then print out your state tax return and file it by mail.

If you don't want to prepare your state tax return using TurboTax and it is already in your program, you can delete it by clicking on Your State Tax Return on your left menu bar and clicking on the trash can icon to the right of it to delete it.
