do I get a confirmation from turbo tax as being sent to the irs ?

You should get an email, but you can also check your e-file status by logging back into your return in TurboTax, or you can go online and check it and make sure your return has been filed and there aren’t any problems.  See the TurboTax FAQ below for more information and a link to check your status online.
