How do I get line 29 on schedule A filled out on turbo tax? My return was rejected because it’s blank.

Your line 29 on schedule A should match with your line 40 on your 1040. If your taking the standard deduction and not itemizing than you really shouldn't need the schedule A. Which might be the problem and in that case you just need to assure that it is deleted. Cause if it's trying to generate information for variables that are not there than it's gone equivocate that to zero...or...blank. So check if your itemizing first and if so 1040 Line 40 should match Schedule A Line 29. Have a blessed day

Thanks. I had to change it to itemized due to hurricane Harvey and the casualties/theft being itemized. I had standard selected.
