5MB is a tiny file by today's standards. a low-capacity hard drive today is usually at least 100GB which means it can hold almost 20,000 5MB files. so where are you moving it to and how are you transferring it?
the message the file is too large may mean there is not enough free space on the drive you're trying yo transfer it to
in a windows computer by clicking on the my computer icon you should be able to see the free space on where you intend it to go.
if you trying to e-mail it to yourself the issue may be that your ISP restricts file transfers that size.
I just started tax filing this year, and I have encountered the same issue. There are still have 450G available in my MacBook storage, so it should not be the storage issue. Anybody knows how to solve this issue?
Please see how do I transfer last year's return into the 2024 TurboTax software for Mac to ensure you are following the steps as it applies to the software platform that you used last year.
