How can I qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit if I had no w2 wages which were subject to california withholdings?

The allowable sources of earned income that qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit have expanded over the years to include

  • W-2 wages,
  • Self-employment,
  • Salaries, tips, and
  • Other employee compensation subject to California withholding.
