How can I go about changing my status so someone else can claim me as their dependent?

If you claimed as a dependent by someone else, you should change your personal info on your tax return to indicate that you can be claimed as dependent.

To do so, click on My Info in the left-hand column. On the Personal Info summary, click Edit next to your name and on question 3, A few other things we need to know, check the boxes as shown on the attached screenshot.
