How can I get your software to let me e-file filing jointly without a state I.D. card for my wife

I cannot e-file my federal return because my wife has no state ID card or drivers license. There does not appear to be a work-around in the software. Please help.

There is not a work-around.

All e-file returns MUST have a state ID or drivers license. This has been in place for at least a year or two. It is one of the ways to cut down on e-filing of fraudulent returns you may have heard about over the last several years.

Without that state ID card or drivers license, you will have to file a paper return.
