Thank you but my question wasn't all posted ! Here there is :
Hi! In 2019 i moved to the usa in october i worked only one month and earned 500$ i filled my tax return and send it and it has been accepted. But when i moved i get a sponsor who fill a i-134 form .Now he tell me that i get him in trouble an shouldn't have filled the tax by my self and he had to add me in his tax returns . Can someone help me and tell me if it's true what he said and if i really get him in trouble
I'm a green card holder (resident alian)
Thank you
If you aren't related to the sponsor, he cannot claim you as a dependent unless you lived with him for the whole year and you met all of the other requirements to be his dependent.
Also, he is not required to claim you as a dependent even if you qualify, so he will not get into trouble by not claiming you.
Thank you
