According to the Idaho Department of Revenue, if you don't itemize deductions for Idaho income tax purposes, but instead use the Idaho standard deduction, you don't have to reduce your health insurance costs by any amount claimed as a federal itemized deduction.
You can deduct premiums you paid for health insurance for yourself, your spouse, and your dependents if those premiums haven't already been deducted or excluded from your income. The deduction will be taken on Form 39R or 39NR if you are not a full year resident.
