Had a legal name change and haven't updated ss card due to covid shutdowns. W2 has legal name ss# linked to ***** name. Result, Return got rejected. How can I remedy this?

I filed again using my ***** name but I'm curious if this is going to be a more complicated issue?

The IRS goes by the name that is on file with the Social Security Office. You would use the name that is on file with the SS office. It will not be complicated.
