Can I make weekly payments toward my taxes owed, BEFORE April 15? Not paying late, so not needing an extension, & is this possible without applying for a payment plan?

I would just like to pay off what I owe in 2 or 3 payments across the next 2 weeks if possible, with little hassle

Yes, it is possible. You could make as many payments as you like. 

You can make the payments on the IRS website. You can't do it through TurboTax. Just set a reminder for yourself to pay every Friday or Monday or whatever works for you. Here's the IRS web page: IRS Payments.

• Doing it your way is smart because you don't have to pay the payment plan set up fee of over $100.

You can mail checks or money orders, too. Just make sure you get proof of when they were mailed from the Post Office.
