Re: Forms availability for 2023 Tax Filing?
It would seem that a Premier Tax Software and Tax advisors would be on top of their game plan and have ALL OR MOST of the Tax Forms readily available for filing especially as it relates to those who pay ESTIMATED TAXES and need to PAY THE FINAL INSTALLMENT BY JANUARY 16, 2024. The ones that are not available are Form 5695, Residential Energy Credit and Form 8995, Qualifying Business Credit as of Jan. 26, 2024.
Purchased the Premier Software which did not at the time in early January 2024 indicate anything on the new Energy Credit changes, Form 5695, a law passed since Dec. 2022 called Secure Act 2.0. More than a year ago. Also, regarding Form 8995, Qualified Business Credit, there's no mention currently and which has been around.
What is unfathomable, a relatively unknown, On Line Taxes and cheaper by far have had these forms available. So it begs the question why doesn't Intuit/Turbotax?
I have lost all confidence with Intuit/Turbotax for their inability to timely and properly support their Turbo Tax product(s) by not readily having all the necessary changes incorporated in their new products with a January 16 targeted date. Next year, serious consideration will be given to using Turbo tax again. Hello On Line Taxes. Goodbye Turbotax.
