Form 8938 - I am resident in the UK. Is a loan to a real estate developer an interest in a Foreign Financial entity?

Form 8938 - I am resident in the UK. I made a loan to a real estate developer under contract and get paid interest. I declare the interest as gross income - do I need to add the real estate company as a Foreign financial entity on Form 8983 also?

To clarify, does the real estate company  directly pay you or is the payment done through a bank? Did you issue the promissory note?
