Form 8915 F Major Problem !!

During the final process of trying to get taxes E filed prior to deadline @ Tuesday 18th midnight deadline. spent over 2 hours trying to resolved this reoccurring issue regarding form 8915 F.  Reviewed replies on chat forum and tried deleting and reentering 1099R data/ deleting form from tax tool / going back and working thru questions making suring NO was entered regarding disaster designation. Needless to say missed the filing deadline although everything is set for filing except for the Mess regarding this form.

1. I need immediate help with resolving this form issue which is clearly a glaring problem and VERY Disappointing with the poor response from Intuit

2. How do I deal with missing the deadline and any imposed penalites.

Form 8915 F Major Problem !!

If you didn't take a disaster distribution in 2022 or prior years then you need to delete the "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Distribution and Repayment Worksheet"  (8915E wks) to remove Form 8915-F and the error.

In TurboTax Online:

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. In the left menu, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, select "Delete a form".
  4. Select "Delete" next to "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Distr" and follow the instructions.
  5. Click on "Federal review" on the left and then on "Check my Info" to run it again.

In TurboTax Desktop:

  1. Switch to Forms mode on the top
  2. Scroll down and select "8915E wks" (can be 8915E-T or 8915E-S)
  3. Click "delete" and confirm the deletion
  4. Switch to Step-by-Step and run the smart check again
