Foreight Tax Credit From 1116

It seem like each year Turbotax has a challenge with my wife EdwardJones fund. The 1099 form seem to import fine but Turbotax gets hung up on a very small investment in a Canada company. First I don't understand why Turbotax can't pull the country off the 1099 form. The second and the bigger issue is why is Smart Check reporting the the Qual Div and LT Capital Gains amount should not be larger than the unadjusted gross income income for the category. In the foreign tax credit comp worksheet (g) ordinary income is -88 and the (h) Qual Div and LT Capital Gains is 88. Keep in mind I didn't enter any of this information it was pull from the download 1099 form. I trying to figure out how to correct this. Is this a problem with TurboTax or something else?
