First told to Identify now says delayed

First, I received a text saying that my taxes were accepted late January and it still says that on Turbo Tax.  Last week, I checked Where’s my Refund and the IRS said I needed to verify my identity by entering a code from a letter I never received.  Today, I checked again and it is now saying this that they are sorry but processing is taking longer than usual keep checking back.  Wtaf??  I filed early - is there an issue? Is there a glitch?  Will I be getting my refund by 2/13 as it still states on Turbo Tax?

Yes, your refund can be delayed due to things beyond your control. 

The date provided by TurboTax is an estimated date, not a promise. The date provided by the IRS is the one that will be most accurate.
