Intuit, step in. I am about to make a purchase of software program to enable me to prepare my US taxes. Again, I am an American citizen living abroad. To be clear, I do not have a US Bank account nor US credit card. I need a software program that takes into account the foregoing, that I have a real estate portfolio, and need to file the other forms that I have been filing as a US citizen abroad for the last 30 years. I am now retired and want to oversee my filing rather than continue with outside providers. Either Intuit Turbotax has equipped its software to assist (without additional add ons, effort, or need to indirectly purchase, etc.) or it does not. Please step in, remove the ambiguity, clarify your marketing so that I do not waste time attempting to purchase, or once having purchased, find out that you do not accommodate completely the needs of an expatriate American. I am confused, appreciate the input of the persons in this group, but you must be monitoring the messages regarding your product and I am asking you to address my questions directly. There is a huge and growing population of Americans living abroad, and the market is for you to capture. On the other hand, you will destroy your position if you allow inadequate marketing to lure us in, only to find that there are obvious obstacles that you have not worked out (when your competition has). Please advise.
