It says it has to have numbers and letters but WY only has numbers

It won't accept my drivers license number

Alpha numeric means letters AND/OR numbers....no space, or characters. If you entered any dashes, or spaces, remove them.

Entering your driver's license is optional (with the exception of Illinois and Alabama).
