Entered $234 for my 2019 state income tax refund, but turbo tax shows $468 on the summary page, no explanation of why it was doubled or entered elsewhere?

I found a workaround, I entered .01 in the refund field and it still totaled and rounded but with rounding,  to the correct  $234. Since I took the standard deduction in 2019, it was not taxable and not reported.  So, I went a head and filed.   Hopefully, there will be no need to amend.

Based on the facts you provided, there should be no reason you would need to amend the return.
