Employers state id number is not located on my w-2

You will need to get in touch with your employer and have them get in touch with the payroll company since that information is missing. You have two options:

1. You can file an extension which gives you the time to get the W-2 in and gives you time to file an accurate and correct return.

2. You can file your tax returns without the W-2 since it's incorrect. And when you get a new W-2 in that's correct if you can file an amended return.
