Employer forgot to check retirement plan in box13 but the new w2 is not marked w2-C. is this a corrected w2?

If your new form W-2 is not a W-2C, then it is not a corrected W-2. Your employer may have rectified the omission in box 13 before they filed the W-2s with the IRS.
