I had that problem. Entered same AGI for both taxpayer and spouse (MFJ), and got rejected notice from TT that AGI for spouse was incorrect, (did that mean AGI for TP was correct). I re-transmitted next morning using same correct AGI for TP but using $0 for spouse. I did this before I read the previous "solved" FAQ answer on the Community thread which said not to do that. Within 10 minutes got TT email saying return was accepted. My 2020 paper return filed in April had finally been processed in early March, 11 months after being filed, and I had checked the AGI numbers on the IRS transcript.
Thanks for the tip. Entering 0 for my wife's AGI worked for both the federal and state return (after trying many times with the correct numbe).
