Does our joint 2021 tax return give an agi for "my spouse" based on the previous year tax return?

Our efile return has now been rejected by the irs twice now. We filed jointly always and checked the agi repeatedly and the correct agi figure is given. How do I proceed?

Did you file a joint return for 2020?  If you did then you need to enter the same AGI from your 2020 return for both of you.  Do not split it.  If all else fails, trying using a Zero for the 2020 AGI.

if you filed a joint return in 2020 then the AGI is the same for both of you, from line 11, when e-filing 2021. if that doesn't work try 0 for both. sometimes nothing works and you'll have to mail in your return
