Does efiling rejection and re-submitting count against my 5 free efiling?

I got a TT error R000-058-01 which appears in discussion forums as a TT issue to fix but TT says that I have to print and mail the return. However, if I efile again (since there is no way to get TT to go around the error message and get me to the resubmit button) does this count against my 5 free efiles? Also, how do I get a refund for my state efile that was rejected because the federal was rejected? The TT customer service number never gets me to a real person and only gets to canned responses that don't answer my question.

Rejection does not count against the 5.

How about my state efile that I paid for and it was rejected due to the federal tax efile rejection? How do I get that to credit or refund?

Rejection does not count as an e-file.  Once your Federal is accepted, the state will be accepted.

It seems to count now.  I just had a rejected return and went to resubmit and it told me I hit my 5 limit.  I called support since I have not seen this before (definitely didn't count in the past) and they confirmed it does in fact count toward the limit now and I have no option but to mail instead.
