Do I need to prepare 1099-NEC for my property manager?

I have one rental property that my neighbor helps me manage as I live out of state being in the military. In return, I pay him 10% of the rental income. The total amount I pay him over the year is well over $600. Do I need to prepare and send him a 1099-NEC? If so, how do I do that using TurboTax premier?

Yes, you will need to send a 1099-NEC. The tax software will not create the form and send it. There are many ways to create and file the form online. Of course, we recommend our product here.
