You may be referring to the 5 Digit Pin section (also known as the signature ID).

Please see is my self-select PIN the same as my IP PIN for more details on the 5 digit pin.  You can reuse the same one from last year or you can create a new one.

Even though TurboTax knows your prior year selection (if you used TurboTax last year) it doesn't ask about it.

This is strange. You are prompted to enter a new PIN.
