How do I initiate direct debit of balance due for federal? The instructions still indicate mailing 1040-V

When you go through the e-file process, you will see the option to select a direct debit from your bank account. If you are mailing your return, select mail by check and disregard the 1040-V vouchers. then pay directly on the IRS website linked here.
