Difficulty of care payments and tax credits

I received two w-2's for difficulty of care payments for at home care I provided for two clients in their home; not qualified for the exclusion.

I am also the care provider for my disabled child and received difficulty of care payments to care for my child, which qualifies as excludable from income.

When I review the IRS website regarding the earned income credit:

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/certain-medicaid-waiver-payments-may-be-excludable-from-income

(Q9) discusses difficulty of care payments and reads  "you may choose to include all, but not part, of these payments in earned income for determining the EIC or the ACTC, if these payments are otherwise earned income."

Must I include the IHSS income received for my child for the EITC and CTC?

If you received income from the In-Home Support Services (IHSS) program for providing care to someone you live with, you have the option to include or exclude all or none of that income as earned income on your tax return
