Difference between column e or g for form 8949

I notice when I sold my second home I had to pay agent commission. It was deducted from escrow. it was about $30k. But I notice turbotax puts it in column G for "Amount of Adjustment" is this the correct place or is column e (cost and other basis). I also installed a radon system which is an improvement and was wondering if this should be in column e or g?

The 'amount of adjustment' is the change to the amount that you received from the sale.  The basis is what you paid for the property that you sold.  So the agent commission reduced your money because it was part of the sale price that went to the agent and belongs in column G.  The radon system increased the amount that you paid for the property you sold so that goes in column E.
